<p>PURPOSE:To enable uniform agitation of each molten metal and molten salt electrolytes on the whole by providing the first conduction coil at a part corresponding to a region of the molten metal phase in an outer circumference of an electrolytic tank, and the second conduction coil at a part corresponding to a region of the molten salt electrolyte phase. CONSTITUTION:A molten metal 1 which becomes an anode, and a molten salt 2 above the metal 1, which becomes an electrolyte, are housed into an electrolytic tank 3, and also a cathode 4 is placed in the molten salt electrolyte 2. The first electro-magnetic conduction coil 21 for agitation of the metal 1 is provided at an outer circumferential surface of a thermal insulator 6 of which part is corresponds to a region of the molten metal phase, and second electro-magnetic conduction coil 22 for agitation of the electrolyte 2 is provided at an outer circumferential surface of a thermal insulator 6 of which part is corresponds to a region of the molten salt electrolyte phase. By flowing electric current of several 10s Hz or so through the conduction coils 21 and 22, flow is generated both in the molten metal phase 1 and the molten salt electrolyte phase 2. This flow is a circulating flow throughout the phases and thereby concentrations of a plutonium and a uranium in each the phase are well homogenized.</p> |
