PURPOSE: To manufacture suture needle/suture assemblies in a large quantity in high quality control by integrally providing a device to fix a short-sized heat-shrinkable tube to the shank of a suture needle, and a device to fix a suture to the shank of the suture needle to which a tube is already attached. CONSTITUTION: On a fixing device 14 provided on a bench 12, a control connector 16 to be connected to a computer terminal device 18 equipped with a monitor 28, is provided, and a control terminal device 20 is connected to the terminal device 18. Also, a video camera 22 is provided in order to expand the working area of the fixing device 14 and project on a monitor 28, and at the same time, a light source equipped with a telescopic arm 34 is provided in order to illuminate the working area. The fixing device 14 has an attaching platform to place a suture needle 40, and the suture needle 40 is held at a specified position by a needle holding device 38 which is interfaced with a shank 42 so as to attach a heat shrinkable tube 50. The shank 42 is heated by the approaching of an electrode, and the tube 50 is fixed to the suture needle 40. |
