<p>PURPOSE:To control the height and the width of the material on outlet side of a finish stand by performing multivariable control through continuous rolling of a three roll block mill. CONSTITUTION:When a wire rod is rolled by a three roll common drive block mill arranging stands of many stages having sets of three rolling rolls where axes intersect mutually at 60 deg. between stands, the material height on the finish stand outlet side and the material width on the finish stand outlet side are controlled by feedback control+feedforward control with an interval between rolls as an operating variable according to a state equation of rolling and the optimum regulating theory. In this way, the rolled dimensional accuracy of the wire rod is improved.</p> |
