PURPOSE:To directly output the volume of stock in the form of numerical values, and to easily manage the volume, for example, to control a set value for alarming even if the shape or outer dimension of a container of the stock is changed. CONSTITUTION:This flowmeter is provided with an ultrasonic transmitting means 2 for transmitting ultrasonic waves to a stock 4 and receiving the reflecting waves therefrom, and a time-level conversion means 26 for calculating the level value from the time since the ultrasonic waves are transmitted until the reflecting waves are received, and the velocity of the ultrasonic waves. Moreover, the flowmeter is constituted of a volume calculating means 27, and a determining means 29. The volume calculating means 27 converts the level value into a volume value based on an expression of relation of the volume value conversion, and outputs the volume value to a volume indicating means 28. The determining means 29 analyzes and determines the expression of relation of the volume value conversion to convert the level value into the volume value on the basis of the level value calculated by the time-level conversion means 26 and a reference volume value. Upon necessities, the volume value is compared with a set value for alarming, and an alarm is output based on the comparing result. |
