PURPOSE:To obtain a chip mounter which can manufacture substrates with improved productivity by providing it with a control means which stops a centering mechanism at the position a little longer than the chip parts dimensions being recognized by a camera. CONSTITUTION:A suction nozzle 9 sucks the parts 2 in arrangement data, and a camera 13 recognizes the shape data such as the longitudinal and horizontal dimensions of the parts 2, and also it memorizes the shape data of the parts 2, and based on this data, driving mechanisms 14 and 14 such as motors capable of position control drive the positioning claws 10 and 10 as centering mechanisms to optional positions and stop them at the positions respectively ten to several lens of mum longer than the longitudinal and horizontal lengths of the parts 2 so as to position the parts 2 loosely. Hereby, the centering at high speed and being conformed to the parts' shape so that it may not do damage to the parts can be done, and the productivity can be improved. |
