PURPOSE: To form a wire or a tape definitely organized having a high critical temperature by crystallizing a superconductive oxide after undergoing a treatment under the action of a magnetic field in the range between a glass transition temperature and a crystallization temperature. CONSTITUTION: A superconductive oxide having a high critical temperature undergoes a treatment under the action of a magnetic field in the range between a glass transition temperature and a crystallization temperature. Individual microcrystallite of a size of about 1 submicron is produced so as to have C axes oriented in parallel with each other by the action of the magnetic field, thus forming a wire or a tape. Then, the nucleus grows through the treatment at a temperature close to the crystallization temperature. A superconductive oxide compound based on La, Y, Bi or Tl can be used as the superconductive oxide. Alternatively, EuBa2 Cu2 O7 , HoBa2 Cu3 O7 , Bi2- XPbXSr2 CaCu2 O8 , or Bi2-x Pbx Sr2 Ca2 Cu3 O10 (0<x<0.4) can be selected.
