<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently and uniformly reduce the volume of a waste synthetic resin by quantitatively supplying the waste synthetic resin to a heating volume reducing means by a simple structure. CONSTITUTION:In a volume reducing apparatus, a heating volume reducing means 2 is connected to the discharge part of a supply means 1. The supply means 1 is constituted by providing a screw shaft 5 in a supply cylinder 4. A waste synthetic resin is supplied to the heating volume reducing means 2 by rotating the screw shaft 5. The supply cylinder 4 is vertically or obliquely arranged and the waste synthetic resin is fed downward under pressure by the screw shaft 5 and a supply hopper 8 is connected to the side surface or upper part of the supply cylinder 4. The waste synthetic resin supplied to the supply hopper 8 is scraped off from the side part of the supply cylinder 4 by the screw shaft 5 to be quantitatively supplied to the heating volume reducing means 2.</p> |
