<p>PURPOSE: To provide a cartridge for detecting the loading/unloading of a tape cartridge and the front/end terminals of a tape. CONSTITUTION: The tape cartridge is provided with a housing having an entrance path 16 and an exit path 17, the magnetic data recording tape 15 having at least one transparent part and an optical element 65 in the housing. The optical element 65 has at least one curved reflecting face 71 and the curved reflecting face guides light which is made incident on the tape cartridge to the magnetic data recording tape 15. A part of guided light passes through the transparent parts 53 and 54 and passes through the exit path 17 of the housing.</p> |
