PRODUCTION OF COLOR FILTER

PURPOSE:To allow the production of the color filter which has excellent adhe sion to a glass substrate and has bright picture elements having a high resolu tion without having color fogging with eare and high through put speed by using a silane coupling agent. CONSTITUTION:An aq. soln. of the silane coupling agent contg. an amino group in the molecule is provided on the transparent glass substrate, the glass substrate is rinsed before drying and dried, by which the layer of the silane coupling agent is provided on the transparent glass substrate. The alkaline development type colored photopolymerizable compsn. layer of a photosensitive transfer material having at least the alkaline development type colored photopolymerizable compsn. layer on a tentative base is then transferred onto the glass substrate under heating and the tentative base is peeled away. The alkaline development type colored photopolymerizable compsn. layer is thereafter exposed via a photomask and the unexposed parts are removed by an aq. alkaline soln. Further, the above-mentioned stage is repeated by using the photosensitive transfer materials having the alkaline development type colored photopolymerizable compsn. layers colored to different colors, by which the color filter is produced.
