PURPOSE:To prevent a writing tip of a writing utensil from becoming dry by the use of a simple constitution. CONSTITUTION:A seal cap 14 obtained by forming silicone rubber in a circular truncated cone shape is provided near a hole part 6 in the main cylindrical system 2 of a knock button-type writing utensil 1. In addition, a through part 15 which runs through the seal cap 14 in an axial direction is formed linearly in the cross section in said cap. This through part 15 remains closed due to the elasticity of a silicone rubber. The tip for writing 4 located at a retraction position is retained in the through part 15, and the outer section of the through part 15 remains closed so that the tip for writing 4 is prevented from becoming dry. If a knock button 12 is depressed, the tip for writing 4 runs through the seal cap 14, forcibly opening the through part 15 of the seal cap 14, and finally protrudes outwardly from the hole part 6 to make a writing process possible. |
