"In a booster cable, adapted for connecting a charged battery to a discharged, dead battery, it is known, that unprotected clamps of the cable, designated for connecting with the battery outlets are often the cause of accidental electric shortcut, resulting in a shock, injury, fire or gas explosion. In this invention, the cable clamp is protected by reusable safety cap lock, made of non-conducting material, which is securely covering the unprotected part of the clamp and held firmly by the spring action of the clamp jaws."
