<p>PURPOSE: To enable a viewer to visually recognize all colors at the same time by separating a white light source by bands of R, G, and B and scanning them sequentially by a transmission type LCD panel, and specifying the address of the panel according to proper color contents of an image delayed by a display electron device before respective colors are passed. CONSTITUTION: The circuit which specifies the address of the light valve consists of a light box 10, a dichroic mirror system 12 which splits light into the bands of R, G, and B, a rotary prism 14 which scans the bands, a relay lenses 16 and 18, the light value 20 which impresses a video signal, and a projection lens 22. The box 10 contains a high-intensity type xenon lamp 24 and an elliptic reflector 25, light from them is directed to a cold mirror 26 which reflects only visible spectrum light, and its reflected light is directed to the dischronic mirror system 12 through an aperture 28. Thus, the light beam is separated individually into R, G and B and the obtained video modulation bands are projected on a screen by using a projection lens assembly 22.</p> |
