PURPOSE:To securely cut off a vibration noise by providing a couple of noise insulation members, made of materials having larger density than an elastic body, inside or outside the elastic body opposite each other. CONSTITUTION:A sound insulator 1 consists of an elastic body 1A and noise insulation member 1B which are formed almost in a rectangular prism shape and the elastic body 1A is made of a sound absorbing material. Further, cuts are formed in the opposite surfaces 1A1 and 1A2 of the elastic body 1A at isolated positions and those cuts are deep halfway from the surfaces 1A1 and 1A2 in the thickness direction. Parts of the cuts from the cutting start ends to the cutting tail ends overlap with each other at the isolated positions when viewed at right angles to the opposition surfaces and the noise insulation member 1B is charged from the cutting start end sides. Namely, the noise insulation member 1B is composed of the member having larger density than the elastic body 1A such as an iron plate and its width is set matching the depth of the cuts. |
