The voice generator is for helping blind people cross a street safely by generating vocal signal corresponding to the state of traffic signal lamp. The generator includes an A/D converter (1) for converting AC power that drives a blue traffic signal lamp to digital signal, a ROM addressing controller (2) for controlling address of ROMs (31,32), a resistor array (4) for converting the digital voice signal to analog signal, and an analog switch controller (8).
