The screen (4), being, on the one hand, pivotable with respect to the wall (24) supporting the taps (plumbing) (26) and equipped with means for vertical displacement along the wall, and, on the other hand, including means for mutual articulation of the panels (6, 8, 10), the said panels being composed of a frame formed from two uprights (12, 14) and from two crosspieces (16, 18) supporting a wall (20), the said arrangement is principally characterised in that an upright (14) of the frame of one of the panels is located opposite the shower head (28), after pivoting of the screen (4) towards the wall (24) and above the taps (26), preventing the risk of the pushing-in of the walls (20) of the panels by the said shower head (28); the screen is, moreover, equipped with means for blocking in the high position and means for damping its downward displacement, each of these means employing a device comprising an expandible cone. <IMAGE>
