PURPOSE:To obtain a sealed vessel-packed food having flavor which food has originally and capable of directly being used by favorite seasoning without impairing nutritive value. CONSTITUTION:Production of sealed vessel-packed food characterized by adding water of which amount is close to maximum water absorption amount to a water absorbing food to make water absorbed in the food, packing the water- absorbed food in a sealed vessel and subjecting the packed food to heat sterilization.
