<p>PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of a reproduced data without mis-correction in the error correction device implementing the pipeline processing with plural blocks to plural error correction codes inputted continuously. CONSTITUTION:The error correction device provided with a means 1 generating a syndrome based on a parity of an inputted error correction code, a means 2 introducing an error location and numeral based on an output of the means 1 generating the relevant syndrome, and a means 3 implementing the correction of an error correction code based on an output of the means 2 introducing the error location and an error numeral is provided with means 4-6 generating a control signal used for controlling the processing start of each error correction code in each of the three means 1-3 independently. Mis-correction caused on a problem of control in a conventional device is eliminated by using the control signal of each block independently to reduce the error correction probability.</p> |
