PURPOSE:To enable serial transmission of received signals from vibration elements to the body of an ultrasonic diagnosing apparatus while an echo data in a three-dimensional region within an object to be inspected is taken in without moving a probe. CONSTITUTION:An array vibrator 26 of a probe 20 has a plurality of vibration elements arranged in a two-dimensional plane and received signals (c) from the vibration elements are subjected to serial transmission to be detected with a homodyne detector 42. The received signals detected are stored in a group 44 of memory elements for every vibrator. Under the control of a synthesization control circuit 48, the received signals are read out at a specified timing, stored in a synthesization frame memory 50 as three-dimensional image information and displayed on a display device 52. |
