In the mfr. of a hand polisher, textile yarns are joined to each other. A yarn layer is placed in a laid-out holding tape across the tape course and sewn from the outside against the holding tape lying underneath it. The holding tape is turned over and folded so that the tape sections come to lie on top of each other. The overlying ends of the tape are sewn together and a stepped rolling up of the tape follows, starting at the joined ends. Every time the sewing thread joining the end reaches the vicinity of the still-flat top side of the layer, this thread is again pushed through the holding tape and tautened until the rolling process is completed and the thread is fastened. ADVANTAGE - The polisher is easily gripped by a hand and has a flexible core on one hand while the textile yarns are joined centrally and undetachably on the other.
