Oil (I) is used in a polyol mixt. (II) for prepn. of the adhesive or casting compsns. Pref. solventless, 2-component polyurethane (PU) adhesive or casting compsns. are prepd. from di- and/or poly-isocyanate and (II) contg. (I) with OH no. 50-150 mg KOH/g. Pref. (I) has OH no. 80-135, (110-130). (I) is used with di-, tri-,or higher hydric alcohols, opt. mixed with monohydric alcohols. (I) is used wit di-, tri- and/or higher polyester- and/or polyether polyols of mol. wt. 70-6000, esp. as 5-80, (15-50), % (all pts. wt.) (II) for prepn. of adhesive compsns. (I) is used with di-, tri-, or higher hydric alcohols, opt. mixed with monohydric alcohols, esp. as 5-80, (15-50) % (II), for prepn. of casting compsns. USE/ADVANTAGE - Esp. with moisture-retentive, adsorbent materials e.g. wood, opt. with other materials, e.g. metals. Compsns. have relatively long open time and regulatable pot life and hardens and set rapidly, adhere well to numerous materials, and give joints with high tensile and peel strength.
