METHOD OF FAULT CLEARING AND RECOVERY IN THE ELECTRONIC COPY SYSTEM

PURPOSE: To efficiently clear and recover a fault in an electronic reprographic system. CONSTITUTION: The clearance and recovery instructions for specific system faults are stored in a memory and an electronic reprographic system is monitored for fault occurrence and the stored instructions are accessed upon the detection of the fault occurrence. Faults having similar recovery features are classified into buckets to facilitate fault clearance and recovery operations.
