The machine is used for breaking up building rubble or similar material. It has a chain conveyor (2) which transports the material through the machine. The conveyor chain (12) is driven at the machine input end by means of a toothed wheel or drum (13) which is driven by a motor (15). A turn-round wheel or drum (17), which is acted on by a hydraulic cylinder, maintains the chain tension. The hydraulic cylinder is supplied with hydraulic fluid from a pneumatically loaded hydraulic accumulator which maintains a constant hydraulic pressure. The conveyor chain has links which are capable of transmitting a compressive force. USE/ADVANTAGE - Rubble crushing machine with easily accessible driving motor.
