The integrated slatted frame and mattress incorporate 30 to 40 solid wooden profiled, oval-sectioned slats (1) 1.5-2.0 cm thick, and 2.5-3.0 cm wide. The slats are 1.5 to 2.5 cm apart. The slatted frame left and right sides are mounted on latex sections (5). The lengthwise slat must be 3 cm shorter than the width of the bed. At the slat-ends, profiled slats are nailed to a belt (3) 5 cm wide and 3 mm thick. A hooked-pile or plush strip is sewn to the belt. If the belt protrudes at the slat-ends by 1-3 mm beyond the slats, the overlapping cover and fixture strip (6) does not wear. A 4-10 cm thick futon (4) with various fillings lies on the slatted mattress.
