PURPOSE:To easily prepare a confidential document by a method wherein in a thermal transfer sheet formed by providing a thermal transfer ink layer on a heat-resistant substrate, the ink layer contains ink mainly composed of microcapsules of thermal color-erasing or thermal color-forming chromic material. CONSTITUTION:In a thermal transfer recording system, ink is transferred to plain paper by the heating of a thermal head or the like to be recorded thereon using a thermal transfer sheet formed by providing a thermal transfer ink layer on a heat-resistant substrate. In this case, the thermal transfer ink layer contains ink mainly composed of microcapsules of thermal color-erasing or thermal color-forming chromic material. The thermal color-erasing chromic material is composed of at least three components, i.e., an electron donative color-developing organic compound, an electron accepting compound, and a color-changing temperature adjusting compound. The thermal color-forming chromic material is composed of at least four components, i.e., an electron donative color-developing organic compound, an electron accepting compound, a color-changing temperature adjusting compound, and a low-volatile solvent. |
