The air-cooled engine is fully enclosed in a sound-insulating capsule (2), together with its cooling fan and oil cooler (1). The capsule contains outlet passages and a Z-shaped inlet passage for the cooling air, which is delivered by the fan into a plenum chamber (4). Two outlet passages (3a,3b) are provided with the air flow divided in the chamber into a main stream (5) to the oil cooler and two auxiliary ones (6,10) for direct cooling of the engine.
