The wall- or ceiling cladding is in plate sections, with passages at the side furthest from the room, connected to feed and return pipes, and through which a heating or cooling medium flows. Between the feed and return pipes (5) and the passages or pipes of the plate section (1) a pipe joint (7, 8) is formed, and which is relieved of the plate-section weight by a link (10) between the section and the supporting structure. The hinge axis of the pipe joint can be coaxial to that of the link. The joint can be formed by a pipe end turning in a socket. The pipe end can be enclosed by a bush so as to leave a radial clearance. The bush engages in a bearing bore in the supporting structure, and is fixed to the plate section. ADVANTAGE - The individual plate-sections are removable for a distance sufficient to allow maintenance work behind them, without having to shut the heating or cooling system down.
