The paper punch has at least two punch tools (33,35) entering a bottom die and linked to a single lever system (31) which is driven through a cam diste and reduction gear from an electric motor (7). The punch tools are linked to a rocker piece (51) pivoted (53) on the machine housing. Attached to the rocker piece is an actuating lever (55) with a pin (57) on which rotates a roller located in the closed track (61) of the cam diste (25). The form of the cam track is such that from the starting position the punch tools have a rapid approach to the work, a relatively slow working stroke, and a fast return motion.
