PURPOSE:To obtain a pressure-sensitive recording material superior in mechanical strength and water resistance and uniform in coloring density in a pressure- sensitive recording material obtaining a coloring image by the reaction of a colorless dye with a color developer. CONSTITUTION:In a pressure-sensitive recording material obtaining a coloring image by the reaction of a colorless dye with a color developer, a sheet material obtained by injection molding a synthetic fiber having a Bekk smoothness of 60 sec or more is used as a substrate. The use of a sheet material obtained by injection molding a high-smoothness synthetic fiber as a substrate ensures a pressure-sensitive recording material superior in mechanical strength and water resistance and uniform in coloring density.
