PURPOSE:To make payment by confirming the presence or absence of a card using right with a terminal equipment connecting an IC card. CONSTITUTION:An IC card 5 with built-in EEPROM 10 and a terminal equipment 3 capable of connecting the IC card 5 are provided. The EEPROM 10 stores card using use particulars and usable balance. When the IC card 5 is connected to the terminal equipment 3, the terminal equipment 3 reads out the usable balance of the EEPROM 10 and judges the presence or absence of the using right. In the presence of the using right, the usable balance is displayed after payment. It is not necessary for the terminal equipment to access the host computer whenever the IC card is utilized. |
