PURPOSE:To improve the light characteristic and lengthen its life by sealing a composition containing xenon gas and nitrogen gas each with a specific voleme % in an incandesent lamp. CONSTITUTION:A sealing composition 7 made up by mixing xenon gas and nitrogen gas at a volumetric ratio of approximately 20:80 to 75:25 is sealed in the glass bulb 1 of an incandesent lamp so as to be at approximately 600 Torrs at a room temperature and at approximately 760Torrs at the time of lighting. It is thereby possible to obtain excellent light characteristics due to xenon gas and a long life, and also to realize stabilized operation due to suppression effect of arc discharge by nitrogen gas. |
