PURPOSE:To provide a flavone aglycon derivative eliminating the defects of a flavone aglycon selected from flavone aglycon and flavonol aglycon, excellent in water solubility, free from the fear of toxicity and capable of sufficiently exhibiting the physiological activity in living bodies. CONSTITUTION:An alpha-glucosyl flavone compound produced from a flavone aglycon and alpha-glucosyl saccharide compound in the presence of a glucosyltransferase. The alpha-glucosyl flavone compound is compounded with other raw materials not only as a highly safe vitamin P-strengthening agent but also as a yellow-coloring agent, antioxidant, deodorant, stabilizer, quality- improving agent, preventing agent, remedy, UV absorbent, deterioration- preventing agent, etc., to be advantageously utilized for various compositions such as beverages, favorite foods, feeds, baits, anti-sensitive disease agents and cosmetics, e.g. skin-beautifying agents or whitening agents. |
