<p>PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of the inputting operation and to shorten the starting time at the time of starting a system by providing a function which can automatically set the bus cycle of an additional memory mounted on a computer system. CONSTITUTION:When an additional memory 2 is mounted at the time of starting a system, a CPU 10 makes the memory 2 to execute read/write operations and sets an appropriate external bus cycle on the basis of the executed result of the read/write operations. Then the CPU 10 executes the control of the read/write operations of the memory 2 on the basis of the set external bus cycle.</p> |
