PURPOSE:To sustain good running operation even if the electric system for controlling the driving of motor does not function normally. CONSTITUTION:The controller for motor vehicle, which runs through a motor being fed with a voltage corresponding to the vehicle speed control operation, comprises means 2 for monitoring whether the electric system is functioning normally and means 4 for applying electric brake onto the motor. Electric brake is applied when the monitoring means 2 detects that the electric system is not functioning normally.
