<p>PURPOSE:To create an additional capacity as well as to realize a function capable of visually detecting bad picture elements by arranging platinum black on areas of picture element electrodes by means of electrolytic reduction method in aqueous solution containing chloroplatinic acid. CONSTITUTION:Insulating films 204 opening window areas 203 on picture element electrodes 202 are formed all over the surface of an element substrate 201, and signal supply lines 205 and 206 are provided. In a forming process to form a capacity electrode consisting of platinum black, an electric source is connected to the substrate 201 in aqueous solution 207 containing chloroplatinic acid. There are also provided connected lines 208 and 209 formed by tying up the signal supply lines in a bundle, a platinum plate 210 to supplement platinum ions, an electric source 211 used for electrolysis, and an electric source 212 to put an electric field effect transistor in a turning-on condition. Thereby, the platinum black can be adhered to the window areas 203 of the insulating films 204 on the picture element electrodes 202. At the same time, the platinum black is never adhered to places incapable of electrical connection, so that bad parts can be detected visually.</p> |
