<p>PURPOSE:To realize a light valve device capable of driving high polymer distributed liquid crystal in a driving circuit of monocrystal semiconductor. CONSTITUTION:A light valve device is constituted of a silicon semiconductor film layer 3, a glass carrier 2 arranged so as to be opposed to the semiconductor film layer 3 and a high polymer distributed liquid crystal layer 4 arranged between the semiconductor film layer 3 and the carrier 2. Picture element electrodes to regulate picture elements, or driving electrodes 15 and a driving circuit to excite the driving electrodes 15 according to prescribed signals are formed in the silicon semiconductor film layer 3. A common electrode 7 consisting of an electrically conductive transparent film is formed on the surface of the glass carrier 2. A highly precise microminiaturized light valve device capable of bright display can be realized.</p> |
