The valve is mounted in a housing (2) and operated by solenoid or motor drive units (3,4). The supplies to the drive units are connected via plug and socket connectors (10,11,7,8) on the upper side of the valve housing. The position of the valve operation rod or armature (6) is detected (15) and fed back (16,17) to the electronic control circuits in a housing (9), which bridges the valve and is supported by the connector assemblies. The electrical control assembly is fastened to the valve housing (2) by two or four fixing bolts (18).
