PURPOSE:To provide a process for the production of an oxide superconductor having high critical current density. CONSTITUTION:A complex of a platinum-group metal and/or fine powder of a platinum-group metal are added to a raw material mixture of an oxide superconductor using a melt process and a varying magnetic field is applied to the system during a melting process and/or a cooling process. An oxide superconductor containing uniformly dispersed fine pinning centers and having high critical current density can be produced by a simple process similar to conventional solid-phase process. |
