<p>PURPOSE:To provide an air bag for protecting passengers of automobile having initial projection and giving less damage to its bag main body. CONSTITUTION:The opposite inner faces of a gas generation unit mounting opening 3 are connected with string pieces 8a, 8b of a material capable of being broken in its portion to be folded at the time of development of air bag. With the constitution, the air bag is swollen up in a step manner as shock at the time of expansion of air bag is buffered due to the breakage of suspension string pieces. In the case of fixing the string pieces the work is easy.</p> |
