PURPOSE: To obtain a digital global positioning system(GPS) receiver receiving a plurality of encoded satellite signals. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of satellite signals are transmitted from a plurality of corresponding satellites. Since the satellites are moving at high speed with respect to a receiver, Doppler phase shift appears between the signals. The signal is subjected to A/D conversion at intermediate signal level. Subsequently, the signal is separated simultaneously into a plurality of digital signals corresponding to the information of I and Q channels for each transmission satellite. A processor converts the I and Q channel information signals into pseudo range and broadcast data for navigation and time. |
