PURPOSE:To provide a plate material for construction capable of readily preventing water absorption from back part without particularly coating the back and effectively checking warpage of plate material resulting from water absorption. CONSTITUTION:In a fiber reinforced cement plate material for construction obtained from a blend comprising cement, silica material, reinforcing fibers and another necessary aggregate, 3-10wt.% resin material which comprises a powdery acrylic resin having <=45mum particle diameter, about 80 deg.C glass transition point and 100,000-300,000 average molecular weight and does not use an emulsifying agent for emulsion polymerization during polymerization is added to a base corresponding to the lowermost layer part of the plate material 1, the plate material is molded, naturally cured, hardened by autoclave curing and the resin is melted by heat during curing to give a tough waterproofing layer 3. |
