PURPOSE:To provide a document editing device and a printing apparatus which are available for simple, faultless operation of printing in such a case that requires agreement between both sides of paper, for instance in the case of a postcard wherein the agreement is required between the address on one side and the letter text on the other side, or in such printing that requires consideration for styles of stitching or bookbinding like the ones that are made for weekly magazines or newspapers. CONSTITUTION:A printer 8 makes printing on both sides of paper 51 by making a single printing head 13 move over the surface and the rear side of the paper, and a printing driver 121 makes document data printed simultaneously on both sides of the paper by controlling the printing head 13 so that said head travels minimum distance for column shifting. A postcard printing program 105 makes printing by making the letter text for the postcard correlated with the address data generated by an address book control program 103, and a document printing program 104 makes printing of documents in double-faced printing for four pages that are made up, like weekly magazines, being stitched at the center of the paper. |
