The present invention concerns, in brief, a roof ladder 1 which is made up of separate steps 2 to give the desired length. Each step 2 consists of a foot board 21 which extends between and is secured to a pair of elongate profiles 20 which are essentially parallel. In the mounted position, the lower ends of the profiles of the upper step 2 rest on the upper ends of the profiles of the step 2 located beneath, the overlapping parts of the profiles 20 being secured to each other by means of a buckle 26 or similar member. At least every second step 2 in a ladder 1 is supported by a pair of holders 3 which are secured to the roof, the step 2 being able to be secured releasably to the holders 3 without adjustment of the steps 2 laterally in relation to the holders 3. <IMAGE> |
