An improved hydraulic valve comprises a float (10, 12) located in the chamber (14) containing the fluid and retained in the said chamber by a guide means (16), the fluid flow being controlled by the said valve. The lower end of the float can be held against the seat of the discharge opening (18) of the said chamber, said seat consisting of a seal (22) in contact with a bearing surface (24) comprising radial grooves (26) which serve to create a liquid flow through the said orifice when the said float is not firmly against its seat, there being no negative pressure below the said seat. |
