PURPOSE:To effectively recover drain and to prevent a decrease in a heat exchanging rate by providing drain bypass means having a receiving part for receiving drain generated at an upper heat exchanging unit and a guide part for guiding the drain received by the receiving part without transferring it to a lower side heat exchanging unit. CONSTITUTION:A heat exchanger has two heat exchanging units 1a, 1b vertically stacked in a standing attitude. That is, the units 1a, 1b are secured at upper and lower ends of many fins 1 to edge frames 3, 4. Heat transfer tubes 5 are respectively inserted to the fins 2, and heat medium fluid directed from an inlet head 6 toward an outlet head 7 is fed to the interiors. Further, a drain pan 8 is disposed under the exchanger. In this case, drain bypass means A having a drain receiving part A1 for receiving condensed water generated at the unit 1a as drain, and a drain guide part A2 for guiding bypassingly the received drain without transferring to the unit 1b, is arranged at an intermediate height position of the exchanger. |
