<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a sufficient light quantity even by a high resolution optical writing by making a phosphor into a shape that it is extended long in a direction orthogonally crossed with the arraying direction of an anode electrode. CONSTITUTION:In an optical writing device 1 applying the principle of a fluorescent display tube, the anode electrode 3 and the phosphor 4 coated thereon are formed in the shape that they are long in the direction perpendicular to the arraying direction. On the other hand, the magnification of an image forming optical system is constituted so that an image forming magnification in the same direction of the arraying direction of the phosphor 4 is different from that in the direction perpendicular to the arraying direction of the phospher 4. Further, length in the direction orthogonally crossed with the longitudinal direction of the anode electrode 3 of the phospher 4, is made longer than the arraying pitch of a grid electrode 6. Therefore, an area coated with the phosphor 4 can be sufficiently enlarged, so that the sufficient light quantity can be obtained even on the high resolution optical writing device having the small arraying pitch of the phosphor 4.</p> |
