The castor has a castor fork (1), and a fastening bush (2), with an axially moveable control shaft (3), to control various movements of the castor. Positive and pressure locking couplings (27,28,12,30;4,5,22) connect fork and bush, and/or to brake the running wheel (4). One part (27) of a positive coupling is located on a coupling ring (12). The castor fork has a head plate (6). Plate and coupling ring each have a passage (8,20) for the control shaft. They also have relative fastening elements (9,10), distributed in a circle around the passages. These allow for relative non-turnable connection in various relatively turned positions. ADVANTAGE - Different relative arrangement of parts allow for different movements of bed, simple, protected against external contamination.
