1. Method of producing a single pleated fabric subjected to chemical finishing treatment without tension, characterized in that fabric is made from single warp yarn with normal twist, linear mass of 20-80 tex and 140-300 threads per dm, and a weft made of single yarn with increased twist expressed by a metric twist coefficient of αm=170-200, linear mass of 20-80 tex and 180-280 threads per dm, and these systems of threads are interlaced in a pattern weave in which there occur alternately a significant preponderance of weft coverings and a significant preponderance of warp coverings, while the mirror image of negative coverings gives stripes along the warp, and next the raw fabric is subjected to a known wet finishing treatment without tension, to create distinct pleats along the warp.
