A multipurpose protective helmet with an escape valve and a movable protective visor, characterized in that it consists of a hard plastic shell (1), in which there is an air channel (14) moulded in its interior upper part and in its lower part there are moulded air ducts (12) whose outlets are located in the helmet's front part near the escape valve (5), while breathing air is supplied into the channel (14) and ducts (12) via an air inlet (8) located on the exterior lower part of the shell (1).<IMAGE>
