摘要 A method of making wires and rods from soldering alloys on the basis of silver containing in percents by weight: 28-51 Ag, 14-30 Cu, 15-25 Cd, the remaining amount of Zn, consisting in that the alloying components are introduced into a inductively heated crucible and are remelted under a cover of flux including borax, and further the alloy is cast into an ingot mould, and the obtained ingots are subject, after heating, to hot working by means of extruding them through a die block with several openings, and further, after heat treatment in a protective atmosphere and slow cooling, the ingots are subject to cold drawing with intermediate annealing, characterized in that the alloying components that is copper and zinc are introduced in such amounts that the copper to zinc ratio in the alloy is at least 0.95, and the charge is melted under a cover of flux containing 70-87 percent by weight of anhydrous Na2B4O7 and 13-30 percent by weight of B2O3, and after all charge is melted the obtained alloy is heated and subject in a temperature between 720 and 770 degrees C to the refining process for 5-15 minutes, and the obtained ingots are heated to a temperature between 470 and 500 degrees C, and extruded at a speed between 10 and 60 m/min, whereas the cold working is conducted with total intermediate deformation equal to 40-60 percent, and the heat treatment after the extrusion process and the intermediate annealing in the drawing process are conducted in a temperature between 350 and 400 degrees C with the following cooling at a speed between 70-80 degrees per hour.
