PURPOSE:To transfer images in an optimum compressing system desirable for a user at all times in the image filing device. CONSTITUTION:An image filing device 1 is composed of a first storing means 10, external device interfaces 21-25, image data transforming means 30, console part 40 and system control part 50. According to information inputted by a correspondence table 53 at a memory 52 of the system control part 50 and/or a keyboard part 40B of the console part 40, the image data transforming means 30 is controlled, and compressed image data S are extended or compressed by the image data transforming means 30 corresponding to outside devices and transferred to the external device interfaces. |
